A rough draft of my poem, Spring! Sorry it’s been a while since the last update.

Daffodils timidly appear,

Afraid that they will be demolished;

Crushed by the elements.

Slowly grass greens,

Roses bloom

And birds nest

Slowly at first

But then all at once –

Apprehensive Jack Frost

Might have forgotten something.

When the coast is clear

They spread the word

And bulbs grow like weeds,

Vines claim their territory

Climbing up every possible surface.

The clouds disperse

Revealing that the sun still exists

After long winter months.
