So it’s #mentalhealthawarenessweek , so I thought for each day  of this week, I will write a poem about mental illness. Today’s is about stress – which can lead to mental illness. I will also be posting some great coping strategies for stress later on! Remember to look after yourselves!

Quietly, quickly,

Escalating emotions,

School and work mashed together.

Showing up in many ways,

A creature of habit.



Causing agony.

Lots of hardship.

That’s what it feels like

When going through times of stress
