Paranoid Personality Disorder

So to continue Mental Health Awareness Month (it’s actually month… I thought it was week), I have a poem about Paranoid Personality Disorder. This is a disorder where people are suspicious of others, or have a distrust of others. This was a hard poem to write, because we all have paranoia of some kind, but not as severe as the people diagnosed with Paranoid Personality Disorder.

They follow me everywhere

I don’t know why

I don’t know who

I just know that they follow me.

I am a leader,

Not a follower.

Everyone is out to get me

I must be a leader for myself.

Behind my back I see

From the corner of my eye

People making gestures

Whispers of revenge

Against me.
