Christmas Tree Poetry

Some Christmas concrete poetry.

A tree

Lit up for the whole

World to see.

A light shining in the darkness

Of the world

Where a babe is born, Saviour to us all.

Gifts to wrap

The hurry and scurry of the season catches us of guard

Every time.

We ask each other what means the most and what we want

The thing is

We never know, because God gave us the ultimate gift of all to us.

What could we

Want more than

A Saviour?

This next one is more of a challenge for us all… even for me!

What do

You want for Christmas?

The famous

Question that gets asked most

this time.

What do we want, really, though?

World peace?

No more war, no more starvation of the innocent?

A world free

Of all problems that we could ever think of, problems that

We don’t even know exist.

Instead we ask for books, jewelry, gift cards galore. We give these all

To friends and family.

What about the homeless man who lives by the park, starved and cold this time?

Who helps him?

Salvation Army

And other organizations

But what do you do to help?

Life

Poem with the prompt ‘cavity’

via Daily Prompt: Cavity

Hope between the cavities

Large mountains

Followed by deep valleys.

The mountains built by triumphs

The valley’s dug by trails.

Life doesn’t have baselines,

Instead, ups and downs:

Ups with cheers

Downs with tears.

Life is a special journey,

Don’t treat it lightly:

Enjoy each mound and cavity

SNOW Acrostic Poems

Images that come to mind when I think of snow

9cba3a790000c76cca3da26d898d8f21-ice-skating-figure-skating

Skating skillfully in circles around the frozen pond

Now a turn, now a flip jump, and now a pirouette

Opening her chest to for one last jump

Whilst snow gracefully falls

Silvery hair sweeping down his chin, with his

Nose deep in long list of wisdom,

Only he knows what secrets it holds

While we wait anxiously for Christmas Day.

Oh, Christmas Tree

A poem I made out of Christmas song titles… enjoy!

Oh, Christmas Tree

Where are you this Christmas?

All I want for Christmas is you.

Christmas can’t be very far away!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Deck the halls!

But, oh Christmas tree,

Where are you this Christmas?

Because Here comes Santa Clause

And Rudolph the red nose reindeer.

All I really want for Christmas is you,

Oh, Christmas tree.

Infinity

Little free verse I wrote while falling asleep last night. Hope you enjoy!

Seems like an infinite amount of time

but I don’t want it to be

yet the world has spun an infinite amount of times since then

an infinite number of stars have collapsed

and an infinite number created

an infinite amount of breathes have been taken

all taken for granted

an infinite amount of memories

of feelings and emotions attatched

and when I go back,

Infinity starts again
